Technical Apprenticeship Standards

Engineering Maintenance Technician – single discipline Level 3 (ST01426) Maintaining the safety, integrity and effective operation of plant and equipment in industries that are part of the national infrastructure engineering sector, such as electricity generating, oil and gas refining and pharmaceuticals. https://skillsengland.education.gov.uk/apprenticeship-standards/st1426

Engineering Design Technician Level 3 (ST0164) Producing engineering designs and drawings for components. Typical roles: Electrical power design technician, Control and instrumentation design technician and Mechanical design technician. Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 (ST0420) Carrying out manufacturing activities on multiple products with different specifications consecutively. https://skillsengland.education.gov.uk/apprenticeships/st0420-v1-2

Healthcare Engineering Specialist Technician Level 3 (ST0950) To ensure service continuity for specialist healthcare medical devices. Machining Technician Level 3 (ST1305) Setting up machines prior to production as well as monitoring and correcting them as needed. https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/machining-technician-v1-4

Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3 (ST1326) Mechatronics maintenance technicians carry out a broad range of activities which may include installation, testing, fault finding, rectification, modifications and the on-going planned maintenance of complex automated equipment. Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Level 3 (ST1395) Designing, building, servicing and repairing a range of engineering products and services.
