Manoeuvres involving reversing can be dangerous and our course will reduce the risk of accidents as well as meet your legal requirements.
By the end of this training course the learner will have an awareness of supporting safe vehicle and mobile plant operations.
Our course
- Have a basic knowledge of the industry and relevant legislation, the dangers and their responsibilities as a vehicle marshal.
- Have a good understanding of signs, signals, approved hand signals and other forms of communication.
- Have a knowledge of the manufacturers handbook for the particular vehicle/machine to be guided.
- Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for vehicle marshalling duties.
- Set up an exclusion zone for loading/unloading.
- Guide machinery in a forward and reverse direction including confined spaces and ‘blind’ areas safely and efficiently.
- Have an awareness of environmental considerations
- Carry out all end of shift shut down and parking procedures.
