Independent research has shown that the presence and proper use of safety representatives within a workplace can cut the accident rate by up to 50%.  

The safety representative is responsible for addressing workplace health and safety issues and needs to be knowledgeable in a wide range of areas. 

This course is a mixture of theory, practical and interactive sessions, designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required of a safety representative.

  • Report/memo writing and interviewing techniques

  • Workplace inspections and audits 
  • To explain the importance of safety management systems 
  • To confidently carry out a risk assessment / workplace inspection
