More schools need to promote apprenticeships as well as Uni.

We attend many careers events in schools and more and more, year 11’s are not invited to attend – particularly if the school has a 6th form. I can appreciate that schools have had huge cuts in funding and encouraging students to join their 6th form helps with their revenue stream, but denying year 11’s the chance to speak to training providers offering apprenticeships is not giving them options. Some schools are great and offer a range of options whereas others need to offer students alternatives to full time college followed by Uni.
