The chancellor confirmed increases in April for young people on apprenticeship programmes.
The apprentice rate which applies to eligible people under 19 – or those over 19 in the first year of an apprenticeship – will increase to £8 an hour, from £7.55.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our first online employer forum yesterday. We really appreciate your support!
It gave you a chance to tell us about any skills gaps and challenges you have been facing. We looked at ways of upskilling existing staff, apprentice recruitment and possible training solutions.
We can keep you up to date with the latest government incentives and new apprenticeship standards.
