Celebrating Success – Ashley Hastings

We are featuring ex SIGTA apprentices this week - today it's Ashley Hastings of Andra Jewels located in Hastings telling us about his journey.

Job Title: Factory Manager of Andra Jewels Ltd

Apprenticeships are important and benefit both the employee and employer. This year I have been working at the company for 20 years, I joined at 16 and in all honesty I didn’t know where the job was going to take me but having started out as an apprentice toolmaker making tooling for our own products I am now the factory manager. I still make tooling for the company and have since done training for our CNC wire eroder (pictured) which I enjoy running almost everyday.

I enjoy my job and enjoyed doing my training through Sigta, they truly are a great company that help you to get to where you need to be. Darryl Kingshott (my training officer) was absolutely brilliant and is an asset to the company. Thank you Sigta.
