Apprenticeship Pathway

The AME Level 3 Diploma forms the core technical qualification for the Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship (ST1395). Apprentices complete the diploma alongside their workplace role, developing the skills and knowledge required for successful end-point assessment. For this apprenticeship pathway, two additional units are included alongside the AME diploma content to fully meet the apprenticeship standard requirements.

SIGTA Induction and Learner Support

All apprentices are invited to attend SIGTA’s induction programme before starting structured training. This gives learners the opportunity to meet tutors, familiarise themselves with the training environment and engage with fellow apprentices at the start of the programme.

During induction, tutors assess current knowledge levels and identify any skills gaps. This allows SIGTA to tailor delivery and provide appropriate support throughout the programme, working closely with employers to align training with workplace roles.

The induction also covers essential topics including health and safety, safeguarding and equal opportunities.
