About SIGTA Training

SIGTA Training is an independent, not‑for‑profit training provider working in long‑term partnership with employers to develop skilled people for real jobs.

Established in 1964, we are a Group Training Association supporting engineering, manufacturing and STEM‑focused organisations across Sussex and the surrounding regions. Our employer‑led approach ensures training is shaped around genuine business needs, workforce planning and long‑term career development rather than short‑term outcomes.

As a registered charity, everything we do is focused on quality, integrity and supporting employers, apprentices and experienced staff to succeed.

Supporting employers since 1964

For over 60 years, SIGTA has worked alongside employers to help build skilled, motivated and sustainable workforces. Our support goes beyond training delivery – we focus on understanding your business, your people and your long‑term goals.

Employer led apprenticeships

Our apprenticeships are shaped by employers and delivered to meet real workplace needs. We support recruitment, screening and ongoing development to ensure apprentices are the right fit and set up for long‑term success.

Training shaped by industry

We deliver high‑quality training that reflects the realities of modern engineering and manufacturing. With increasing levels of in‑house delivery, we maintain consistency, quality and direct oversight of outcomes.

Progression at every career stage

From apprentices starting their careers to experienced staff looking to formalise skills or progress, we provide pathways that support workforce development and retention.

Independent and not‑for‑profit

As a registered charity, SIGTA reinvests all surplus back into improving training, facilities and support. Our advice is independent, objective and focused on what works best for employers and learners.
