Our Forklift Training Courses
SIGTA’s Forklift Truck – Novice Operator Training course is designed for individuals with little or no previous forklift experience. Training is available for counterbalance, reach, and a wide range of other forklift truck types.
SIGTA’s Forklift Truck – Refresher Training course is designed for qualified operators who hold a valid certificate and need to refresh their skills, reinforce safe working practices, or respond to changes in operating conditions. Training is available for counterbalance, reach, and a wide range of other forklift truck types.
SIGTA’s Forklift Truck – Experienced Operator - Uncertificated course is designed for operators who already use forklift trucks in the workplace but do not yet hold a recognised qualification. Training is available for counterbalance, reach, and a wide range of other forklift truck types.
SIGTA’s Pedestrian Operated Stacker Truck Training course provides ITSSAR accredited training for operators who use pedestrian controlled stacker trucks in the workplace.
Apprenticeships & NVQs
We offer apprenticeships in Engineering, Manufacturing and Business Admin/ Customer Service. Apprenticeships require on and off the job training, with the majority of engineering apprenticeships benefitting from day release training delivered by SIGTA. ITSSAR Accredited Forklift Training
All SIGTA forklift and equipment‑handling courses are fully accredited by ITSSAR, ensuring every operator receives nationally recognised training that meets the standards required for safe, legal operation of industrial lift trucks, MEWPs, and related machinery. Training is delivered in line with PUWER Regulation 9 and industry best practice, giving employers confidence that operators are trained, assessed, and competent.

How We Deliver Forklift Training
SIGTA now delivers all forklift, MEWP, stacker truck and HIAB courses exclusively onsite at employer premises.
This ensures operators train in their real working environment using familiar equipment, reducing disruption, improving relevance, and supporting safer daily operations.
Although our main training centre is based in Shoreham‑by‑Sea, our forklift and lifting equipment training accredited instructors come directly to you.
