I have set up stand at Downlands Community School in Hassocks, Seahaven Academy in Newhaven & Chailey School.
All really busy events with plenty of interest from students and their parents/carers.
Although many (perhaps most) students are considering university, I am meeting more and more young people who are interested in apprenticeship programmes.
Reasons vary but many visitors to my stand are concerned about the huge student debt that comes with a university education - now averaging almost £50,000.
University is absolutely the right choice for many but it is encouraging to meet so many people considering apprenticeships instead.
With so many amazing, well paid apprenticeships available from our SIGTA member companies, who can blame them!
