VE Day 80th anniversary

VE Day marked the end of World War Two in Europe. Huge crowds took to the streets on 8 May 1945 to sing, dance and rejoice after nearly six years of war. SIGTA staff will be observing a two minute silence at 12.00 today.

Last pic is my Dad George on the right with their Daimler scout vehicle - he was in reconnaissance throughout the war. They took terrible risks being out in front of the allied forces in Europe. I am sure he was happy enough to hear that war was over on this day 80 years ago.
