Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
SIGTA's Emergency First Aid at Work course provides essential, practical life-saving skills for responding to workplace emergencies.
This hands-on course focuses on the immediate actions required when someone becomes ill or injured, helping learners respond calmly, safely and effectively until professional help arrives.
On satisfactory completion and final assessment of the course, a certificate valid for three years will be issued.

Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course delivers clear, practical instruction in the immediate actions required when an accident or medical emergency occurs in the workplace.
Designed to meet recognised Emergency First Aid requirements, the course equips learners with the essential skills needed to act quickly and confidently in emergency situations before the arrival of professional medical assistance.
Training combines concise theory with practical hands-on sessions, realistic casualty scenarios and supportive demonstrations, helping participants build confidence in performing CPR, using an AED, managing unconscious casualties, responding to choking, controlling bleeding and dealing with minor injuries.
This course is designed to support employers in meeting their first aid responsibilities and aligns with current Health & Safety Executive (HSE) guidance for workplace first aid training.

How often should first aid training be refreshed?
First aid at work certificates are valid for 3 years and a 2 day first aid requalification / refresher course must be completed before expiry of the current certificate, or a full First Aid at work course would need to be completed.
